This week, kindergarten students created a tissue paper collage. This project was a great review from making a mixed media collage last week. The tissue paper collage is part of the Art to Remember(information coming soon) project. The tissue paper does stain the fingers a bit, but since the project took the entire art time, children did not have time to wash. I do try to allow time for washing or at least a wet wipe, but this week just didn't allow. Next week, the children will be drawing on top of their collage.
I created a "password" on the art room door. Every project I will put a new password on the door and the children have to touch and say the password on their way out of the art room. Collage was our password last week and this week. Putting up a password will help children remember one of the many vocabulary words used in the art room. You can ask your child what the password this week was!
